DZMD-am
PBN DZMD is one of the five radio station and two tv station of PBN Broadcasting Network, Inc., the largest Bicolano network in the Bicol Region, located in Vinzons Avenue, Daet, Camarines Norte. DZMD has been around for 40 years now since making its first broadcast on June 24, 1970.
DZMD is the pioneer radio station in Camarines Norte. Although there have been many radio stations that have opened in the province over the last few years, DZMD has not lost its position as the most listened to radio station in Camarines Norte.
Serving the province of almost half a million populace and voting population of almost two hundred thousand, DZMD continues to raise people’s consciousness and awareness of current events and social issues equipped with a 5 kilowatt NAUTEL transmitter. Because of its powerful transmitter, DZMD can also be heard in some parts of Camarines Sur, Catanduanes and some part of Quezon province.
DZMD was also given an AWARD OF EXCELLENCE for formulating and implementing the Action Program on Media Advocacy and Campaign against the Worst Forms of Child Labor in the Province of Camarines Norte which delivers high impact results towards the elimination of six priority worst forms of child labor in the Province.
DZMD is known to be the most credible radio station by being non-partisan to any political party and by observing strictly to the rules and regulation of KBP, as the only KBP member station in the province. It has also the best programs that made it as finalist for the KBP Golden Dove Award, the programs “Speaker of the House” as Best Personality Program in 1999 and “Kalas Kalas” as the Best Variety Program for 2006.
